法國動畫影片《猶太長老的靈貓》根據同名漫畫小說改編而成，書由法國作家尤安·史法（Joann Sfar）創作，電影則是他與Antoine Delesvaux 共導，並手工繪制。尤安·史法是“法國——比利時漫畫新浪潮”的代表。他的作品深入生活、以抨擊守舊著稱。

 

 

在這部電影中，尤安·史法出色的手繪能力，做出自己的風格並透過寬闊的識見顛覆世俗的認定，以和諧包容的主題，企圖營造豐富思維的可能世界。幾場哲學辯論，讓人對宗教教義有所瞭然。本片並榮獲2012年法國凱撒獎最佳動畫片獎。
